Was built during reign of Emperor Qianlong(1736-1795) and is covered in 1110 of these buddha statues. Quite a few of the more accessible ones were damaged or broken off during either the Cultural Revolution or in 1900 by the Allied Forces of the Eight Powers

The majority of embassies are situated in this area and a lot of expats/tourists come here for a night on the town as evidenced by the 35yuan beers. As the night went on we realised that you are supposed to haggle the price. Too much hard work! Good night out though - cheers for the tip Bernd and Daphne:)

Originally built during Emperor Qianlong's reign (1736-1795) and rebuilt during Emperor Guangxu's reign (1875-1908), this bridge got its name from a line in a poem: "the day is fine and there comes the willow catkins at the Willow Bridge."
