Tianamen

Metro Metro Metro

Just love their metro - So simple, the Russians should take lessons from the chinese..
First thing we need to say about Beijing is; that it's the most polluted city we have ever been to.....

The skies are unbelievably grey towards the end of the day - but in their defence ,they are trying to improve this.

And the amount of building work that is going on at present in readiness for Olympic Games, doesn't help matters - Builders dust everywhere.

Really don't know how the locals put up with this.
No wonder they are constantly spitting up phlegm - We never got used to that "ugh" nasty filthy habit.......

Many of the locals resort to wearing surgical masks whilst riding their bikes - and who could blame them....
On the whole they are very into staying healthy and fit - We did notice, that hardly anyone smokes!!

Anyway! We digress, let's move on....

Spent the day sight seeing, top of the agenda was Tian'anmen Square and all that it beholds.

Surprisingly enough, we were the objects of interest to the locals.
We felt like film stars, being followed and photographed where ever we went.....

Took loads of photos. We'll
Count DownCount DownCount Down

To the Olympics - They are every where..
let them speak for them selves.....

Wish everywhere had WiFi!!!
Cos' we are still a week behind, and we do have lots to write about!!!
