As magnificent as The Wall is, the myth of being able to see The Great Wall from the moon, is just that, a myth. So sadly, this much loved idea is to be erased from Chinese history books

These students from Beijing were some of the few people I met on my hike to Jinshanling. The young man on the far right was from Jiangsu province and was very excited to hear I was teaching in Taizhou.

As can be seen, this section of The Wall has been fully restored. Beyond the restorations is a military zone and is out of bounds to visitors.

Hi Sue ThaNK you for all the wonderful pictures. I would like to visit China after 2008. I think it will be too busy before. Going to London Jamaica Ecuador Peru and Bolivia leaving Cairns Dec. 2. Would love to see you when you next visit Oz. Maybe you will come to Cairns.
