Beijing Arrival

Arrived today in Beijing after a 10 hour overnight train from Wuhan. Spent the remainder of the day exploring the hutong around my hotel, the Xiao Yuan Alley Hotel in the Lishi Hutong in the Dongcheng neighborhood East of the Forbidden City. Also walked down what was once the biggest modern shopping street in town, Wangfujing. It's still important and home to the night market and snack street, but there are bigger malls and shopping districts now in other parts of Beijing.
