70 Cigarettes a day Beijing!

Before coming to Beijing I read that the smog was so bad that being in the city was equivalent to smoking 70 cigarettes a day, I can attest that this is true and there is a constant haze over this beautiful and sprawling city that is the size of Belgium. Have climbed the great wall and wondered around the forbidden city, sampled all sorts of culinery delights and have wondered through the night market and watched the locals gorge themselves on scorpian, snake and live beetles - have not yet tried these delecacies but you never know....
