the speed in cambodia has averaged about 50km/hour (31mph) making travel long and arduous. today, i found out the why.

i was in a mini-van heading towards vietnam, and being bold i was in the front seat, but that story must wait. anyway, i absolutely thought the van was going to fall apart for the speed. i looked over and we were doing a whopping 80km/h (about 50mph). the roads and vehicles are that bad!



riding the front seat is like being on an amusement park ride. i grabbed on for dear life a few times, as it seemed neither driver was going to yield as each was passing the multitude of bikes and scooters.
