It's the weekend! No work for us so we're off to a slow start again, after all, what's the rush? We bummed a lift to Pub Street with other volunteers who just happened to be leaving Globalteer House at the same time we were. After months of research, the itinerary is set in stone and I am on the verge of departure for my second trip to India, this time with my sister Ginny. This isn't an organised tour, I have created our itinerary myself, visiting twelve fascinating destinations including Hampi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Orchha, and Khajuraho. We fly into Hyderabad in central Southern India and depart from Amritsar in the North. In between we'll have 35 days to enjoy all the colour and chaos India has to offer. This entire community lives on the water in the body of the lake. There is no 'backup' on land, as they are miles from the nearest town.

This roughly made foot, and motorcycle, bridge joins the two sides of the lake. It will be underwater in the wet season.

There was so much stuff on this bike, the owner had propped it up with a stick so it wouldn't over balance.
