.... the mangoes were fantastic, but the crepe itself fell flat at Daughters of Cambodia, one of many restaurants run by NGOs in Phnom Penh. The food may not have been the best, but hopefully, our money went to a good cause.

... hoping that they would be like some awesome-looking fried chicken wings we saw at a lunch a few days ago in Siem Reap, these weren't quite what we were looking for, coated in a bit of a hoisin-based BBQ sauce.

... at an all-you-can-eat BBQ buffet at the hotel, where you select raw meats that are then cooked to order for you. Steak, chicken legs and wings, frog, quail, and pork ribs ... the highlights were the frog legs, awesome beef marinade, and the spicy Khmer sauce we used for dipping. The pork ribs were also pretty awesome, reminiscent of some crazy-good ribs we had last year in Johannesburg.

... seafood! Squid, fish in banana leaf, and some pretty blah shrimp. The grilled meats are the way to go here, with the seafood merely offering a small break from the magnificent meats.
