HO CHI MINH (SAIGON) and Phnom Penh

We can't believe it , we're already in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. We had a marvelous time in Saigon walking the streets, we manage to walk the entire city center without a scratch, as mentioned before our skills at crossing the street while 1000's of mopeds are coming at you are quite unique. We spent 2 nights, we were suprised on how we enjoyed saigon, (originally were only spending 1 day here and get out of dodge) we went to the war remnents museum, reunification Palace , Notre dame church and city hall we saw some fabulous architecture . We think we have managed to walked an average of 5 klm a day on this trip. Did I mention they have no sidewalks, actully they do, but there are packed with mopeds, cars or vendors, so there's really knowhere to walk.
Our guest house (Madame Cuc guest house) worked well for us, for 20.00 usd it included breakfast and a small diner (noodle soup and spring roll) The staff spoke english and was very helpfull.

We took a early morning bus to Phnom Penh , arrived here at 2.00 PM, we are staying in a cheap no frill guest house for 7.00 usd. In cambodia the atm gives you usd and most merchants list usd prices. Again off walking we went , we left the guest house at 2.30 and did not get back until after 8.00 pm. We actually did shopping this time, maybe because evething we bought was in us$. shorts, t-shirts, toileteries and another better kettle , as the one we bought in vietnam, shorted and blew up. Tomorrow we take another early bus to Siam Reap, where Ankor Wat is located.
