Hey!!! bit delayed in writing this, feels like ages since we were in Cambodia! OK well got there 5pm ish, dumped stuff and went for a meal as standard! Phnom Penh very untidy city, definaltely not as much character as HCMC. Went to find 'Lost and found' bar as Don had been given contact details of owner who's from gloucester. Interesting eve, say no more!! Went to Tuol Sleng tuesday morn. This is the school which Pol Pot and Khmer Rouge used as a prison during his regime. Each school room had been split up and bricked into tiny cells and there were photos of prisoners who had been tortured, some as young 2 years old. It was pretty horrendous. We then went to Choung Ek in pm (The Killing Fields) to see the mass graves from victims of regime. One grave had 450 bodies in it. It was hard to imagine as the place was pretty serene but looking to the ground, you could still see bones and clothing material in the mud. Horrible.
Tuk tuk ride back - we love tuk tuks!!
Had traditional Khmer beef stew for dinner which was divine.
Saw markets on wed and bought a few things before getting bus back to HCMC
