Geo: 13.4691, 104.041There are a few options of how to see ancient Khmer temples at Angkor Wat. Tickets for the site come in 1, 3, and 7 day passes. (Just like Disneyland!!! Ohh, um, Uuuugh....) When you buy your ticket at the gate, they take your photo and print it out on your ticket so you can't transfer it to anyone else. So, 1 day just doesn't seem like enough time to see this plac... There are four large pools inside the temple, where priests used to perform ceremonies.

you can see that the bulk of the temple was built with volcanic rock.

Everytime Cambodia was overtaken, this was a prize piece of land to capture. It sustained a lot of dammage each time it was captured, and often times the troops stationed here would use the building for target practice.
