Bas Relif carving - tree

Can you see all the details in the tree? There are a lot of little guys in there if you look closely. These carvings covered all four exterior hall ways of the temple and all had this much detail in them. Pretty impressive! It took us a couple hours just to walk around two sides of the temple looking at them.

Some of the carvings were really shiny from everyone touching them, the oils from our fingers polished the stone. You could always tell when an important item was coming up on the wall because it shone from far off.
