Our whirlwind tour continued with a whopping 3 days in Cambodia. Although we’d have loved to spend much more time in the country, we spent a full 45 minutes in Phnom Penh before catching a bus up to Siem Reap to see the ancient temples of Angkor. Words can’t really describe it. Some have been restored almost completely, while others have been half left to the ravages of the jungle, and it was a great contrast to imagine what they must have been like 1000 years ago, and then what they must have been like when they were “found” 100 years ago.
