Day 48 Sunday June 21, 2009 The temples
1st stop: Angkor Wat: the world's largest religious structure. Absolutly stunning.
2nd stop: Ta Prohm: The temple where the movie "Tomb Raider" was filmed.
3rd stop: Angkor Thom's Baphom where we waited out the rainstorm in a window way
4th stop: Angkor Thom's Bayon which was very tall and the most awesome in my opinion
We had lunch at a roadside stand outside of the temples and surprisingly had some of the best chicken and rice I have ever had! We also milled around and bought two paintings for our house. Now we finally have a picture to hang above that vast space over our bed! I also bought a cute sundress for $5. I was suprised it even fit as they have a "one size fits all" meaning Thai small mentalitly. I had no more clean clothes after that bike wreck so I took a chance. After the temples we returned the battered bike back to the poor guy who rented them to us. We didn't say much about the bike, but we felt bad and gave him some money for the damage. He was nice about it. After cleaning
up at the guesthouse, we headed to the Alliance Cafe and had a nice dinner to compensate for the10 miles we biked today.
