From Ho Chi Minh City we took a bus to Phnom Penh. Our first day we first went to the killing fields and got a little tour. It was very heartbreaking the history, especially considering it was such a short time ago. We then went to a market and bought 100kg of rice a soccer ball and a volley ball and went to an orphanage where we played with the kids for hours. They were wonderful. They kept asking us how old we were hoping we were old enough to adopt them. Unfortunately its a no go, but I'm definitely going to push the parents😉. Afterward we went to the genocide museum. An old school that had been turned into a prison, then a museum. So pretty disturbing stuff there. We attempted to watch a movie, but it was so hot we were all passing out ande sweating bullets and had to get out. The next day we caught an early bus to Siem Reap. We had a HUGE fight with one of the tuk tuk drivers. So we decided to go out for a few beverages. Had a great night partying at Angkor what and a roof top bar. The next day we kept it pretty chilled out and got some massages. Finally today (my birthday!) we got up to Angkor Wat. It was pretty magnificent. Got pretty tuckered out though so now we are of for a nap to prepare for our celebratory evening😊
