It has been that way for years – maybe decades, even – because, having lived out its purpose long ago, it stopped ticking. But the truth is, it’s already one in the afternoon, and the clock feels like it has stopped less because of technical malfunction than a result of a magical spell that froze time inde... Countryside tour
Fantastic photos and stories about the countryside tour. We really struggled with the smells at the fish market, but our timing wasn't the best - it was a hot summer afternoon... :)

Thanks. Yeah, couldn't stomach the smell, too. Same time as mine, though it was just after the Khmer New Year so the market was basically deserted.

Off the beaten path
A thrill norry ride...you always find the interesting things to do. You should have taken the cooking class. Loved your opening and closing with the clock. Excellent writing! We are waiting for your book.

I just found out about the norry by reading other travelers' stories. Plus my guide turned out to be very helpful. Thanks. Maybe one day I'll be able to get myself published :)

Fish cheese -- yum? Sounds like an odorous adventure. Liked the bit with the frog leg as well -- I find it goes well with ginger and greens. Great writing and looking forward to your next one. :)

I actually liked the taste of the frog -- tasted like fish. But every time I realize it's a frog.... :) Yeah, maybe I should've tried it with ginger and greens.

Oh, those creative juices ...
Yes, flowing through your entire blog. You write beautifully, Jay, and like MJ, I'm waiting for your book. Can't wait to read more.
