Inle Lake:
And yet another amazing place. a large lake surrounded by mountains. The shore line is covered by a km of bog. This is where many people have made there homes right on the bog. Creating farm land, planting crops (tomatoes)on floating strips of bog that are attached in the lake bottom with bamboo poles. Houses are all on stilts.
I spent one day on a canoe trip through some of the bog visiting a couple villages. After 6 hours of canoeing our guide Mr Latte took us back to his house for some food and a beer. The people here are so nice they will do anything for you.I spent the second day here relaxing checking out the town I'm staying in. Checked out the local Market. On the final day me and 2 friends rented a boat and guide and spent 11 hours touring the lake.
This country is great, having a great time here. I have switched to fling from city to city, saves a lot of time.

Cheers

Tim
