We walked for three days through the fertile countryside of eastern Myanmar, from the altitudinous cool of Kalaw, along the tops of steep hills, through valleys and villages, to the serenity of Inle Lake and its unique leg-paddling fishermen. Some villages had a small shop. We stopped here for tea.

This fairly primitive form of agriculture is common in this part of Myanmar.

These used to be very popular, before TV, cinema etc. It was good entertainment. although the screeching music was a bit much.
