Walmart is one of the largest store retailers and accused of sweatshops. Walmart pays their sweatshop workers $20 a week. They all work 19 hour shifts and the company abuses the workers that work for them. The store has been accused of buying school uniforms from a sweatshop under extreme conditions. Also if the workers go to work late, they are made to stand up for hours while working on the clothes. Also the workers are made to work under strict deadlines and are punished if they are not made in time. This makes me feel really sad that I like shopping at this store and I never knew about the sweatshops. What makes me sad is that I think work is hard at times. Knowing that people in the world are working 19 hours a day and they still go through it for the sake of their family.
