Just over ten years ago, I walked away from my career as a space shuttle systems and launch pad technician, a job I actually loved, and many would say, crazy to leave. Shortly after, I flew 9000 miles by way of New Zealand, to the the 7th and most remote, unexplored continent-Antarctica. This for a much lower level job that would last less than 6 months. From a career progression point of view it was like driving down a steep mountain in my old 88 GMC pickup truck-the brakes would very likely fail! Halloween 2011-given I had arived prior to last halloween I didnt expect to be here for another one, but .....so no costume, other than a green wig and hawaiian shirt!

the gym is transformed -700 people at the end of the Earth, home made costumes, lots of music and dance -and alot of fun!

Coffee House!

Summer science hangout, winter -over social spot, movie theater, board games, wine and coffee. My fav. winter chill spot.

my job is done! 13 months and headed to New Zealand. Its always emotional for me, happy and sad at the same time.
