For Quinn
As you asked for, proof of me in SA :) So this is a follow up of the last, since I'm horribly behind on my chronicling (is that a word) of my trip. Friday night I went to another get together, which regrettably, I forgot to bring my camera to. Got to meet some Bethelites (Morgan Jessica and Matthew) one of which I had met when we ran into each other out in service! Small world in the truth. Also got to meet Natalie, who everyone was telling me was in a magazine or something but no one remembers where.......
On Saturday, John and Arti were taking Simon and Sian (still not sure how to spell her name) around to see sights, so Nina and her friend Megan picked me up for some around the world service. We went first to try to find an English study but she was on her way out to the doctor (RV: Score!!). Then we almost got into about a hundred accidents on the way to Nina's study (which I had to conduct cause she forgot her hat(on purpose I'm sure)). It was nice, although a bit difficult to explain Isaiahs prophecy about Cyrus.
Blah blah blah nice service as usual 😊 Then
I got to have my first pie! Oh yes, I've had pie before, strawberry rhubarb and the like, but think of a pot pie minus the pot and portable. DELICIOUS! Nina and Megan were very surprised that I'd never had one before. (on the way to another call we stopped at a different place and got another one!) So we finished the service day, heading back to take me home and guess what? I have no keys, and John and Arti are out and about. No matter, I'll just climb the gate (as I had to on my way out that morning as well) and get in. Well, that would have worked, had the door to the actual house been open, and if I hadn't punctured a hole in my shoe on the top of the gate!(No worries, no medical damage) We couldn't reach Arti or John so I ended up just waiting at the house. (Which where I was standing happened to trigger the alarm) After about ten minutes Dennis and Patricia came home and all was well. In the meantime I got to take some beautiful sky pictures.
Sunday got prepped for meeting and went to the
This waterfall is in Worship Book!
Check page six or four or something Botanical Gardens with John, Arti, Simon, and Sian. They have a nice restaurant on site and its a nice walk to get there. A black eagle's nest and a beautiful waterfall, whose pic is on page 4 of the worship book! I ran up to the top of the trail (remembering half way up that I was at 4,000 feet) and took some more pics.
Monday, I got to tour Bethel!!YAY!
Sorry folks, I tried to get pics of the new release that was running on the presses, but even with my awesome 10x mag, it was just out of range to see the title(don't worry, the bro giving me the tour said I could try). I guess we'll all just have to wait 😊 South Africa Bethel is GORGEOUS and way bigger than i thought it would be. Subsequent to this visit I have been more times and have gotten to see the huge Koi pond! (that was for you Grant)
