Fundraising...leading up to it.

on the way...getting there....

Well, we're leaving in 1.5 months. And there is so much to do. All this fundraising is a pain in the butt to organize, but it's fun to participate in and obviously nice getting some funds to help out with the trip payments. we have a couple of fundraisers coming up:
1) pub night at the springs pub in mission. josh martinez and the pissed off wild is playing. we're having door prizes, 50/50 tickets, raffles. one of the girls has a bunch of hook ups so she's arranged everything and apparently can sell all of the tickets.
2) a swing dance/silent auction on march 31 at the hatzic prairie hall. lots of dancing, snacks, door prizes, raffles, silent auctions. can buy alcohol.

we also have a clothing drive coming up but i honestly don't know too much about that. hmm probably a good idea to find out some more about this hey.

we had a meeting the other day about the realities of how we won't know anything. how it will be a huge slap in the face, like nothing we've ever imagined. i can't help but anticipate feeling completely helpless and useless. wanting so badly to give everything to these kids, these families but not having the time, or the money, or the knowledge. and what would be the point. i don't know. it would have to be something huge and even then.....who knows.
whatever the case, it will be an amazing experience. that's all i can expect. oh and also, i do expect to reintroduce those alligator tears into a daily event 😉
