I had the most amazing weekend!
Arrived after a looonnnggg bus journey on Saturday and stayed at a pretty campsite called "The Waterfront" just outside of Livingstone. It has a really lovely bar overlooking the river and has the most amazing sunset along the river. So I set up camp and had dinner and all that jazz but it was amazing because when I went to bed you could actually hear the falls, I didn't realise this till the following day but I was actually 8k from the falls and I could still here them.
The first day I went to visit the falls and they are spectacualr, despite the Zimbabwean side suppose bto being better than the Zambian side, the falls are stunning totally gobsmacking and these pictures just dont show the same thing. I spent from 10.30am till about 3.15pm at the falls and did them totally top to bottom, I didn't want to miss a thing. I also had a look around the craft market which was pretty cool but just full of bits and bobs of clutter!
That evening I sat at the bar and watched the sunset... and booked my following days activities...
This is "The Big Air Combo" which is well worth it... it includes the Bungi jump, the gorge swing and the Zip wire... and wow it was amazing... to be honest I wasn't scared of the bungi until i got onto the ledge and accidently looked down AHHH big mistake, and when your falling closer towards the ground you think your in one of those dreams. BUT it's ok Im still alive!!! and the gorge swing was the best.
That evening I signed out of the Waterfront and moved to Jollyboys which is in the centre of town. It is a really lovely backpacers but a lot less tranquil that the Waterfront.
I've got so many pictures so i'll just upload a few...
