In Livingstone we were tempted to take a tip from our guide in the Okovanga Delta who slept with a giant roll of elephant dung as a pillow (honestly - we saw it- he was using our tent bag as a sleeping bag). He claimed that this kept of the mosquitoes which were in abundance in Livingstone. Zoe found that not washing for about 4 days (I was swimming every day) was quite effective.
We stayed in Livingstone for four days visiting the falls and generally chilling out. Some of the others went white water rafting or bungee jumping but we found chasing the monkeys out of our tent and away from us when we were eating adrenaline filled enough (we have a great movie of this which should be going up on youtube sometime soon).Running round coffee in one hand, sandwich in the other kicking at monkeys is a guaranteed recipe for indigestion.
Next stop was Lake Kariba where we fought off mosquitoes while relaxing on a house boat.
It's now onwards and upwards. A long drive for Malawi and what we have been promised is one of the chill-out highlights of our trip: Kande Beach...
