I had a great weekend in Grand Popo, Benin. This is beachside village about 1 1/2 hours east of Lome, which is known for its voodoo beliefs and slave history. Sweet Ablam who often woke up at 5am wide awake and hung out with me and skipped up and down the corridors for a couple of hours until everyone else was awake.

Esther, a 16 year-old girl who had surgery to her left eye. She still has swelling but it will improve over a few weeks.
