Hi Everyone

Went on the hot air balloon ride early tuesday morning. had two balloons because of so many people. seen different types of animals. highest we went was 1000 ft. it was amazing. had a beautiful champagne breakfast in the open bush. landed on the border of kenya and tanzania. went for an afternoon game drive, saw elephants, buffalo, lions, and tons of others. we have now seen 3 out of the big five. still missing leopards and rhinos. Had a long day yesterday. it took us 11 hours to drive from kenya to tanzania to the serengeti national park. the bridge was out so our time was doubled from the original time. went through the border. no problems. arrived at the tents. so amazing. we were escorted to the rooms. everyone was wondering why until they heard the roars of the lions then everyone understood why. had an amazing game drive this morning. seen an area with baboons, monkeys, and birds. all of a sudden a crocodile came out of the water and grabbed a huge baboon. he took him under water and then a few minutes later he came up with the baboon half in his mouth and half hanging out. what an amazing sight. seen the kill of the leopard up in the tree, but could not find the leopard. just came back from the bush dinner. we are very happy, and drunk. the dinner was amazing, and we all had a great time. we are hoping to post pictures at a later date, but it is so busy schedule and the internet is not always available. tomorrow a long drive again, 9 hours, to the crater and new hotel. talk to you soon

Sounds like the adventure keeps getting better! I gave grandpa an update from your last posting; he said he's not in to the technology, but was happy to know how everything's going. Bridges are a doozy when they are out. At least the amazing dinner was worth the wait! Hope you get to see the rhinos and the leopards soon.
