Arrived in Kenya safely. Have an amazing flight. Was upgraded to first class and got seats that turned into beds. Fun flight. The next one to Nairobi was 8 hours. Too long and tiring. Today was our first game drive. So exciting and so many animals. We seen the wildebeest migrating. There were thousands of them. Our jeep had to stop several times because of the animals crossing. Baboons everywhere, near the resort and hanging out in the trees. Amazing food so far. Looking forward to tomorrows hot air balloon. Hope to have pictures to follow soon. Some issues that we have encountered for anyone who is looking to go to Africa, our passports (visas) took 4 weeks to the day to return. You have to send your passports to the embassies in Ottawa to get your visas - it was very worry some to wait for them to come back. The other issue was currency. We were successful in getting Kenya Shillings, but no real luck in getting the Tanzania Shillings, yet some of our group did get it.. So we are bringing some extra US just in case. One of our restrictions is that we can only bring 15kg ... read more
