May 5th We had such a big day in store for us on the 5th, so we woke up at the crack of dawn, literally. The Serengeti Six had a good breakfast consisting of french toast and eggs, with plenty of tea and coffee to go around. We watched the sun come up on the Serengeti and then we packed into the safari truck and began a day of game driving.
At first there wasn’t a lot to see, most animals were still sleeping. But the longer the morning went on the more wildlife we began to see. Straight away we saw some lions prints on the road and so we began to follow them. Not long after, probably about an hour or so, Victor saw a male lion and we were all ecstatic. We took tons of pictures as long as the lion was in view and not laying on the ground (they are quite lazy and the grass is quite long) so it makes them hard to capture. So
here is a video of the first
active male lion we saw in the Serengeti.
This is a video of both a male lion and a lioness checking
things out in their area and drinking from a water hole.
After the frenzy and excitement of watching the lions we continued on the game drive. We saw everything you can imagine, giraffes, elephants, hippos, baboons, tons of wildebeest and zebras. We watched some vultures polish of a the carcass of a baby wildebeest, you can see that video
here. We all wanted to see a leopard again because the one we saw on the first day was so brief we didn’t get the full experience. After lunch we did another game drive on the way out of the Serengeti and our wish came true, another leopard was hanging out in a tree. There is a video of him (or her)
here. We also spotted some lions on the way out of the park and you can see that
here.
The whole time in the Serengeti was a blast, the two men taking care of us (Victor and Dalu), cooking and driving us around were great and the experience was epic. We all had a great time but we were ready for more, this time it would take place about 2 hours away in the Ngorongoro Crater, a
paradise for animals of Africa. You’ll have to wait to see those photos and videos though. Until next time, Pura Vida and Hakuna Matata!

P.S- At the time of publishing this I still haven't been able to upload any videos as they take a long time and the internet cafes can't handle it. But they are high on my priority list! Sorry for the delay!
