Advice on moving to Dar es salaam!

Hello there!

I'm looking to relocate from Brussels to Dar es salaam in January 2010 - I'm looking to get a visa for a year, but am pretty open minded with no immediate mid to long-term plans, so coudl easily stay longer if I find myself loving it! I'd love to teach English in local schools and learn Swahili, alongside teaching drama/theatre in International schools (I assume that since I speak no Swahili as yet, this could only be done in International schools...?) However, I need advice! Where is good to live in Dar for a 23 yr old British/Finnish girl? Could anybody recommend a website with rooms to let? I welcome all general advice on moving to and livign in Dar! I also love surfing and take dance classes, so if anybody has anything to say on these topics - also welcome!
