Our Accommodation
Richard and Luke outside their cosy bungalow! After spending only 1.5 hours in a line trying to secure a visa to enter the country, we walked out into the heat to be greeted by local Salvation Army officers, Major Isaac and Major Chalwe. They drove us to the Salvo’s compound in Dar es Salaam, which houses the Command Headquarters, a hostel, an HIV/AIDS education centre, conference centre and a school for physically handicapped children, the only one of its type in the country.
We’re staying in these cute A-Frame bungalows that aren’t exactly five star but will do the trick for the next five days. Everyone’s really friendly and we’ve come across a few people we remember from last trip, like Godlisten, a child at the school for the handicapped.
NOTE: We are having trouble uploading photos at the moment, so we'll have to add them later...
