Along Came a Rhino

This afternoon after work I went and sat in the hide. At first there was nothing much to see except for a few birds, so this gave me a chance to catch up with some reading. I often stopped reading to look up and around to see if any animals had appeared.

Then out of the corner of my eye, I saw a white rhino. This was the first time that I have seen a white rhino at the waterhole. There were no other animals around. The rhino walked along the edge of the water. It walked slowly, possibly being cautious. It stopped and drank for a short amount of time and then turned and looked around and drank again. It was lovely to watch- I don't think it realised that I was watching it.

It then moved to another part of the wetlands and made itself all muddy.

On the other side of the waterhole it partly covered itself in mud.
