After some early problems with the satnav taking us in the wrong direction, we drove 365k east and north much of it on dead straight motorway going through very arid undulating country.
When we turned off the motorway the scenery became more interesting and finally we crossed the Long Tom pass to a pleasant site just outside the town of Sabie which is situated in the Drakensberg Mountains.
