Friday 13th February 2015: day twelve - Gordon's Bay/Stellenbosch
Nick and Dena, our hosts had things to do: Judith and I headed off into the wine regions for the day.
What an amazing place Stellenbosh is. The town is set out with beautiful architectural buildings mixed with plenty of posh cafes and meeting areas.
We also found several parks/green areas with oak trees.
There is definitely a strong student influence to proceedings in the town. Chic boutiques and designer labels.
Stellenbosch is absolutely famous for winery's and wine tasting sessions. The choose is vast. Proud to say that Judith and refrained from visiting the winery's other than to try and find some pink champagne or v dry Rose to share with our hosts Nick and Dena when we returned to Gordon's Bay.
Recommend, if you get the chance visit Stellenbosch - not just the winery's around it. Very busy traffic, but worth the queuing.
Our final evening with Nick and Dena, was spent at the New Harbour in Gordon's Bay
We had a lovely night out.
INTERESTING FACTS: Stellenbosch is a vibrant university town with strong theological
connections.
