Quite the close encounter. Love the specular highlight (twinkle) in the eye. Very nice.

These are beautiful captures - so sharply focused. You need to add Point Pelee National Park and the bird migration to your To Do list too.
31st October 2014

now that's a wow! So many of them look like church organ pipes. Gorgeous.
31st October 2014

Pleeeeeeeeeease bring me one home!
31st October 2014

I'm going to start forging your name on contest entries - The expression on this one's face is fantastic. Love these! Nice lineup too lol.

31st October 2014

Once again I felt like I was watching a National Geographic special.

Hi Deb and Vichow are you two get abouts? Those Meercats remind me of a Line up of soccer players defending their goal from a penalty shot! You two going diving with some great Whites down Cape Town probably safer than riding an osterich! Ha
ve fun Terry and Anne

soccer players.....that is exactly what it looks like except they aren't protecting their naughty bits.
4th November 2014

You'd think the ostrich jockeys would be smaller in stature. I hope they don't have to run a full mile.
5th November 2014

You might mention to the lady pleading with you to bring one of those cute meerkats to her, that these animals can be extreme aggressive and will bite without much provocation and that the little darlings will also spend an inordinate amoun
t of time scent-marking the homeowners & their home, while establishing/re-establishing 'their territory'.
13th November 2014

Spectacular!!
13th November 2014

DH, you need to take up painting!! Some of those photos would make amazing paintings as well as being phenomenal photos!!
13th November 2014

I totally agree!!!
13th November 2014

That's priceless!
13th November 2014

That photo doesn't even look REAL!!! Stop showing off Vic!! LOL!I'm jealous....
13th November 2014

Beautiful. Kinda looks like the Terrain in Arizona, USA!
13th November 2014

That's what you call, getting your money's worth from an animal! Race 'em, Eat 'em, Use every part of 'em!!Not sure how I feel about that, but I'm sure it's all relative to Mankind....
13th November 2014

WOW! She is beautiful.....
13th November 2014

You taught them well, I'm sure Vic ;)
13th November 2014

That seems safe ; )
13th November 2014

I don't think it has anything to do with Mothering, other than DH doesn't have a death wish and she knows that, like any baby, there is a violent maniac protective Mother near by!!!
13th November 2014

That looks like a female with CONVICTION!! Gotta love it! You go girl!!
13th November 2014

Yup! I rest my case.....

That Bird is a refreshing colourful change, after caving for an hour! LOL!
13th November 2014

It's actually fathomless.... Truly remarkable!
13th November 2014

Fascinating!
13th November 2014

That's really cool! I'm surprised no one has tried to cut that out and sell it!! It doesn't appear that anything is left untouched anywhere, anymore!
13th November 2014

Regardless of the ORBS, it is truly remarkable!
13th November 2014

Seriously! If you want to try to capture a photo of an ORB, use AUTO setting and low lighting (which is what a cave usually has). I'll be waiting in anticipation :)
13th November 2014

Hey Vic! You can use that photo as a picture metaphor for you and DH :). The caption is left to your ingenious imagination!
13th November 2014

I was hoping that you would catch a few ORBS in that Cave photo....
13th November 2014

Brilliant Photo!
14th November 2014

Almost like a church organ!
2nd December 2014

Funny Vic...you can stand on their eggs but you are too heavy to ride the ostrich!!!
2nd December 2014
