After many months of planning we have finally made it!Although we had seen many photo's nothing could have prepared us for the breathtaking drvie into cape town, Table Mountain take centre stage, dominating the clear blue skyline.
After ging through the realativly painless eperience that is Cape Town airport we were chauffer driven to our first hostel "Big Blue Backpackers" which sits just on the waterfront at the foot of Signal Hill. We were promptly shown round by the helpful staff and are amazed by our accomodation, it is completly the opposite of what you think of when you hear the word 'hostel', to give you an idea of the size of our private room we have a large double bed, aswell as a set of bunk beds! what we have those for i have no idea but there a nice addition (im determined to grab the top bunk! - Nick) its an en-suite room & from our window we can see table mountain. This is where we call home until friday and are really looking forward to our stay in Cape Town, we have Table Mountain, Robben Island, sunset cruises and lot of exploring planned! we picked up a sim card at the airport if you want to maybe send us a text or a quick call now and then just drop us an email for the number
