What happens when you give mud paint and cow manure to a load of students ??

I have been to the Tribal Village once before about 4 weeks ago. At that time it was a educational visit to understand about how the Tribes went about their daily life, including the role of the cheif and his many wives (8 wives in this Village). The First wife was the most important and the others were given duties to perform including the cooking and making of flour from maize.

On this visit we were shown how the Huts were made including the weekly job of spreading Cow Manure other the floor, that when dried is brush away and gives a polished floor that the insects and snakes do not like. We were even given the chance to paint the outside of the Huts with a mix of different coloured sands and water. As you can imagine sand and water and loads of students makes Mud fights. Before this we even dressed up wearing the tradional Impala Skins for men and the gilrs wear the head scarfs and dresses. Once this was done we even changed clothing around as the girls said the mens skins looked better.

I'm not writing much about this day as the photos will tell you more than the words. so enjoys the pics as some do look like something out of a Fashion Magaine or FHM for the Boys.

Hello from Dubai
Hi - have sent a private message but not sure if it worked. So sorry if this is repeated. Looks like you had even more fun than we did the first time at the tribal village! also we think we spied a new tattoo on your left arm - we need a close up pic if this is the case.. We are officially very jealous as we are fully back at work, kids and all on Sunday!! Wishing we were there. Andrea and Chris xxx
