Safety Tips (Johannesburg)

Before I visit Johannesburg I thought maybe is a good place to visit , but is not because of crime in the city. I’ve seen many people getting robbed and heard a lot of stories.

Things to avoid:

· Avoid carrying large sum of cash and other valuables (cameras , video cameras ,laptops ,etc).

· Avoid leaving belongings unattended.

· Be alert and vigilant all times.

· Take special precautions in secluded areas including parks , especially at dusk and after dark.

· Street children and beggars may approach you for a handout.

· Try and walk around in groups

· Do not leave valuable belongings in your car rather lock everything in the boot where they are out of sight.
