Every year many of the VWB interns make a weekend trip to Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda, and this year Brit and I were joined by Sue, Janaya, and Chantara from the LCP program, as well as Anna, for the weekend trip. During the genocide, water from the pool had to be rationed for drinking and cooking

This also gave me a good seat to watch the driver give people the "get the hell out of my way" arm motion as he raced through construction zones.

Time in Kigali
Glad to see that you made it to the memorials....I was deeply touched as well. Somehow I didn't attract as nearly as much attention at the bar...:)
