The Nigerian government is responsible for the poverty in the country. The Nigerian government is very corrupt. The best example of the natural recourse curse is Nigeria; the incredible oil wealth has failed to generate growth and has increased the number of people living on less than one dollar a day, from 30% before oil was discovered to the current rate of 70%. Governors use bribery to get what they want. They use the public office for privet gain. Because the oil is controlled by the government, the government uses about 2/3rds of it for themselves and the other 1/3 for the citizens. The last president was thought to go throe 5 million a day, which didn’t go to the people of Nigeria. This government corruption is why Nigerians people live in poverty.
