Old Friends in New Places

Happily, our friend Charlotte came calling at our tent at 09.50, thoughtfully making sure we didn't miss out on breakfast, which finished at 10. Charlotte had arrived from Kuala Lumpur the day before, and rendezvousing at the camp was as far as we had planned for the four month journey through Africa that we had agreed to embark on together!

It was great to finally catch up after talking about taking this trip for so long and although we spent the day with the best of intentions for planning, with the guidebooks in front of us, we somehow kept finding ourselves on different topics... an easy thing to happen when it had been more than a year since we'd seen each other, and there had been quite a few adventures in between. All in all, it was a very pleasant day, especially with a walk to the local market, where we ate great veg food at one of the little stalls there.
