Having grown up in Australia, I had no idea that when I left in December, 1998, I wouldn't go back. After working and travelling in the northern hemisphere for over 13 years, I then quit everything to travel through Africa in 2012. Since then I have also travelled the Silk Route and in 2015 moved to Bangkok, Thailand. The more I travel, the longer the lists of places to go grows, not shrinks. Hi Sarah, pretty cool trip you're undertaking, I'm very jealous. But then when I hear that most of your group caught Malaria, I'm having second thoughts. Hope you recover quickly, and good luck for the next weeks! Cheers, Jens

Please don't reconsider!
The malaria was over and done with in just over a week after diagnosis. I highly recommend this kind of travel! Feel free to email me with any questions you have and I'll eventually respond!
