Overnight stop on the way to lalibela

Took a morning bus this morning from gonder to lalibela.. well not really... there's no direct bus to lalibela.. so you have to take a bus that's headed for Dessie.. and get down at Gashena.. and then try to find a transport going north to lalibela.. getting to lalibela from gonder or bahir dar is not that convenient.. best way is to fly, but it cost about 9x as much.. and i didn't want to spoil the 'overland' concept by flying.. hehe..

so.. i went to the bus station at 5am in the morning.. gate is still closed.. huuge crowd already gathered at the gate.. 530am.. gate opened.. CHIONG AH!!!!! haha.. pushed my way to the ticket windows.. none opened.. somebody pointed the bus i'm supposed to be taking to me.. so.. CHIONG AH!! managed to get a good seat.. yay.. sat down.. confirmed around that this bus is headed to dessie.. then at 630am.. everyone suddenly got off.. what's happening.. somebody explained to me change bus.. so all got off... then later, they announce that the bus is correct.. !@#$%^&... got back on the bus.. no more good window seat =( !@#%^

so it's all mountain route.. and at 330pm.. the bus pulled up at a bus station in a big town.. and evryone got off.. what's happening.. someody said.. tomorrow bus continue.. tonight sleep here.. wtf? we are just 60km away from Gashena.. tried to find a transport to gashna.. the only truck leaving for gashena is full in the cabin.. only option is to ride on top of cargo.. ok.. why not.. 20birr.. but you have to board at the edge of town.. cos it's illegal to ride on top.. so i walked to the edge.. then it looked like it's going to rain.. so i decided against riding on top.. so now i'm taking a night in this town called nefas mewcha.. tomorrow will continue to take the bus to gashena.. and then lalibela...

oh another thing.. i'm not reahable on cell phone as singtel has no agreements with ethio telecoms.. so no roaming for me.. in case u guys try to call me..

that's all now.. internet is expensive here.. 0.50bir/min! logging off... ciao..
