Jan asleep on felucca, Nile River, Egypt There is so much relaxing to do on the felucca, it felt we had no sooner finished our pancake breakfast when lunch was served. A few more hours of cruising before we docked at a town called Daraw to go see camels & the local market. Not overly exciting stuff, but I think it was an excuse to break up the day a little so we didn´t get bored on the boat. After an hour or so back on board, we stopped for the night & set up camp (the loo).
Unfortunately dinner was postponed due to the cook running out of gas. One of the crew disappeared for a while, whilst dinner continued cooking on an open fire & a short while later, a new gas bottle was delivered by donkey. Problem solved, but I'd love to know where the gas bottle came from because we were docked on a farming island, which I can´t imagine too many people lived on.
The other group only spent one night on the felucca, so it was just us on the second night. There wasn´t much wood available, so we couldn´t have a fire I ended up going to bed early
