In this society women where treated equal for the most part. They had high levels of respect and even rights. Although they where reasonable of taking care of the family most of the time.Even after a woman's marriage she was sill independent. Also the Egyptians women main goal was to raise their children and manage the household and daily needs.

So basic what the article was saying women where treated very fair compared too other civilizations. They had rights,high level of respect, and kept the household in good shape. This was big because in many other places women only had one job and that was to watch children. Although the Egyptians on the other hand based people off there wealthiness. So it didn't matter what gender you are its where you stand on the social scale.
