well they'er right about the French. Paris is a beautiful place and we had a ball there. The French were somewhat taciturn...I guess we would be sick of the tourist invasion that happens just about all year now.

So now we are in Egypt..an amazing colourful, friendly crazy place. Luckily we have had both a guide and a driver to negotiate the city for us. We loved the pyramids..reminded me of Ayers Rock.
Cairo was dirty, crowded and the egyptians are really pleasant people. They all think ed is an Egyptian...he tells them he's Chinese!
The drive from Cairo to Alexandria was full of dry plains and some growth .. We ended up at a strange little Zoo/circus and got to hold a 3 month old lion. That was something. It was a very tired and run down place.
