Howard's family
Stuart, Jenn, Ben and Charlie Wow, where do I begin. Yesterday was a wild day. We were supposed to fly Delta to JFK to get our connection to Cairo. Needless to say, another winter storm hit and closed all flights. We were scrambling to try to find an alternate way to get to Cairo. With the help of Stuart, Howard’s son, a Delta pilot, we were totally rerouted. One minute we are trying to figure out how we were going to get to Cairo, the next minute Howard calls me and says he’s coming to pick me up NOW! Since he lives across the street, it didn’t take long to get to my house. Thank goodness I was packed and ready to go. We flew to Minneapolis to Amsterdam to Cairo. Stuart, Jennifer and their 2 little boys joined us for dinner in Minneapolis. The flight to Amsterdam was about 8 hours. The best part was that we flew first class, or I guess it’s called Business Elite. Comfy seats that recline and lots of food. We arrived in Cairo only 4 hours later than our original plans with no disruption to our tour. We get to get up at 3:15am to catch our plane to

We do not have internet access while on the cruise up the Nile. The next time I'll be able to blog is Monday!!!

So glad you were able to make it to Cairo. Hope things aren't too unsettling for you in Egypt. Enjoy your cruise, can't wait to hear about it!
