A rare site
Our guide was so excited about the wild dogs, I can't blame him. They are quite a site! One thing I can say about this vacation, there was never a dull moment! Between the beauty of the sunsets, the glaze of the milky way, the sounds and sights of the animals, I had grown quite fond of Africa. I must warn you, that when you go to Africa, there is a part of Africa that never leaves your spirit, or so they say. I have come to believe that. As you all know, I have a great passion for the outdoors, animals, and travel, and to photograph nature, for me it is a labor of love.
One of the surprises we encountered while at Linyanti Camp is Wild Dog! There is less than 4500 Wild Dog, and we saw a pack of 28 dogs! Other animals we saw were: Birds, Hippo, Elephant, Water Monitor, Warthog, Impala, Kudu, Leopard, Serval, and Crocodiles.
One of the most interesting events was a Leopard cub and a male Impala. The Impala was threatened by the Leopard's presence, he stomped the ground several times then would snort loudly in hopes of scaring the Leopard away. He was quite relentless, finally the Leopard gave up, ran away and climbed up in a 25
Colorful and rare
Their markings are colorful. They had finished chowing down on a Warthog. foot tree and waited for "Mom" to come to his rescue. The Impala was lucky this time, he could've been lunch meat!
Our last night at Linyanti, we had a candle lit dinner. Earlier in the day, the elephants had wreaked havoc around the camp, literally piles of it. As we were eating dinner, we heard two elephants splashing around in the river!
