I m bamboozled by all the insurers out there, i just want a basic policy that covers medical stuff, if i pop my clogs and my ipod and digital camera.......not fussed about delays and all that bobbins and i need a policy that goes over a year or one i can extend..................i have been on the high street and through the net and im confused............dont want to pay over the odds................but then i dont want to pay for a policy that doesn't cover me.

Does anyone one have tried and trust companies they can recommend?

Thanks

I use - but have never claimed from - World Nomads - I know people who have had to make a claim and they have paid.

The reasons why I recommend them on travelblog.org are listed here

World Nomads is good and really easy to renew/extend online if you end up staying longer than you thought you would. Always nice for a free spirit traveller! Reply to this

Thanks for the advice Michael and Kelly, everyone seems to be indicating me towards world nomads they are more than some Insurers but perhaps the good rep they have and being able to renew etc may just be what swings my vote:0) Reply to this

Has anyone tried Travel Guard? You seem to be able to get purely medical coverage. My fiance and I are looking into them. We too feel that we don't really need to cover our very modest belongings and we are not buying many air or rail tix in advance. Reply to this
