Overland from India/Nepal to Thailand...

In March I'd like to travel Overland from India to Nepal and on to Thailand, this would be on a tight budget....
is it possible?
what is the best route?
what are the approx costs?
I'm american, will any Visa's be an issue?

ok if you like to visit Nepal throught by India it is good and it is best idia and it is possible to go thailand from Nepal.
the best trekking route in Nepal, first it is depends on your vacation. if you have a short time you can visit some of the free land of the Nepal like short distination. if you have a long time you can make sure your Long distination. then which Kinds of trekking you like to do trekking easy, medium or hard it is depend on your physical fithness and on your Budget.

As far as I know you could travel from India to Thailand via China. Yeah, visas are an issue. All foreigners need them for India and China. I think the Chinese ones can only be obtained these days, from a Chinese consulate in your country of citizenship, so check that out, and be sure to get one before you leave the US, if this is still the rule.
