Im doing a central/south american trip all the way from mexico to chile, and after that i was to move on to new zealand, but all the plane tickets i have found are quite expensive, 2000 us dollars has been the lowest i´ve found. What I really want to know is if anybody has any information about taking a boat, how plausible it is, possibly an estimate of how much it would cost.
Reply to this Hello Alfredo 😊
I think the most economical way would be to fly. Use internet search engines to find the best flight prices. Also if you are flexible about when you go, you will likely get a lower priced ticket.

Start looking for internation shipping companies and freighters online. Some take a limited number of travellers and charge them for it, a lot less than conventional means and more of an adventure. Don't waste your time in Mexico and remember as you travel that you are just a source of income to many that you meet who would like you to stay longer.
Reply to this Heyyy Alfredo, I'm planning a similar trip but starting in Boliva. If you find any thing would you let me know?? Iv started to check freighters, shipping companies and even cruises but no luck. The companies i have found don't ship between both countries, only to the states. You could take a flight from the states to the NZ but it would be a hassle.
